Auckland clubs sent their strongest team yet to the Indoor Archery National Championships down in Palmerston North this last weekend (30 and 31st August 2014), and came back with a massive haul of medals, in both the target and the match-play. Stars were Stephen Florence of Mountain Green, who achieved a double gold, and a new Archery NZ record; Steve Clifton and Shaun Teasdale of Auckland Archery Club and Mountain Green, who swapped between gold and silver for the target and the matchplay events; Linda Lainchbury of Massey Archery Club, who cleaned up the Womens Compound; young star Luke Franklyn of Auckland who cleaned up in the Intermediate Mens Recurve, along with his competitors Chayse Martin-Roberts and Sam Hudson of Mountain Green; Cheree Kinnear of Auckland who won a gold in the Junior Womens Recurve target event and a Bronze in the Womens Recurve matchplay event; and Katjia Smillie of Mountain Green and Aurora Agustin of Auckland who swapped results in the Intermediate Womens Compound events.
