Archery is a fast-growing sport and Auckland has a wide variety of clubs all over the region from field archery to target archery. For more information about each club, they are listed on this page with links to their websites.

Auckland Archery Club

Auckland Archery Club

The Auckland Archery Club is located in One Tree Hill Domain (Maungakiekie) in Auckland. They are a Target Archery club, and the longest-running in the Auckland region! (They started in 1946).

Auckland holds two “have a go” days and six beginner’s courses each year for people wanting to start archery. The club days are Saturday and Sunday.

Bay of Islands Archery

BOI Archery

Bay of Islands Archery Club is based up in 1144 Oromahoe Road, Paihia. Any new members should turn up at 10am so that they can have some coaching etc if required.

At 11am we usually head off into the bush course where you can score points and try to better your own personal best each week.

Club days are Sunday.

Franklin Archery Club

Franklin

Franklin is based in Ramarama, South Auckland. The club’s main interests are target, 3-D shooting and bowhunting.

They have organized club hunts throughout the year and a healthy in-house competition annually for game claimed.

The club gets together every second Sunday of the month at 10am for social rounds and a bit of friendly competition, which is capped off with a club BBQ.

Massey Archery Club

Massey

Massey Archery Club is in Kumeu. The club fosters friendship, enjoyment and involvement. Massey Archery Club is a field archery club and as such nearly all shooting is done outdoors in fields and natural bush settings.

Sundays are set aside for club shoots. Registration is between 9am and 9.45am with shooting commencing around 10am.

The club house is open to members on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5pm and every Sunday from 9am.

Mountain Green Archery Club

MGAC

Mountain Green Archery club (MGAC) has been promoting target archery for over 70 years. Since its inception in the 1950’s the club has hosted and continues to host compound, recurve, crossbow and longbow archers.

MGAC welcomes all archers, from absolute beginners through to experienced archers competing at international level.

Club days are Saturday and Sunday.

Mt Tiger Archers

Mt Tiger

Mt Tiger Archery Club caters for all ages and provides basic introduction to archery, coaching and competition for all levels.

The archery club has facilities at both indoors, based at Whangarei Girls High Gymnasium (Lupton Ave) and outdoors at 248 Ngunguru Ford Rd, 2.5km from Ngunguru-Tutukaka Rd intersection.

The outdoor club is open every Sunday from 9.30am.

Pine Ridge Archery Club

Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge Archery Club is a field archery club in Manukau, South Auckland, specialising in field archery. Interclub competitions are held from time to time throughout the year.

On the first Sunday of each month there is a competitive Card Shoot, with friendly rivalry between members for certificates and an annual ranking. Unfortunately it is not suitable for visitors to attend on these days.

The club is open all year round on Sunday mornings.

River Glade

River Glade Archers operates in Hamilton. The club welcomes all archers, from absolute beginners through to experienced archers competing at international level.

Shore Archery Club

Shore Archery Club

Shore Archery Club is situated at adjacent to the Sunnybrae Bowling Club and the North Shore Events Center.
The clubs holds a formal shoot once a week on Sundays commencing at 1.30pm. Visitors are welcome and registration is before 1pm.
Introductory Classes are held on Saturday Mornings and other times by arrangement. New members are welcome.

Twin Coast Archers

Twin Coasts

Twin Coast Archers is based in the Rodney district. The club welcomes all archers, from absolute beginners through to experienced archers competing at international level.

The club meets every Tuesdays night in the Wellsford A&P building, from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Visitors are always welcome on club nights. The first night is free and we have equipment available for beginners. So come along, have chat with our instructors and give archery a go!

Whitford Forrest Archers

Whitford

The Whitford Forrest Archery Club is situated within the boundaries of the Whitford Forest approx 5km from the Whitford Township heading towards the Beachlands-Maraetai area.

The club has several family groups that shoot covering a range of divisions ranging from cub, junior, senior and veteran shooters.

Regular club shoots are held every Sunday at 9am in Whitford Forrest.
