It can be done! Congratulations Andrew Russell from Auckland Archery Club for being the first ever winner of the Golden ribbon (over 600 points on the 20cm face) in the monthly 600 round.

The ADAA 600 Round was started in 2016 with the purpose of creating an inclusive shoot for people of all abilities to practice their archery and win ribbons, meet archers from all around the district and visit other archery clubs. It is an informal inter-club competition experience (often with a BBQ or chocolate biscuits!) that everyone has thoroughly enjoyed.

Archers shoot at 30m, 90 arrows at a target face size starting with the largest (122cm) and slowly moving through to the smallest (20cm), attaining a ribbon at each level. We all thought the 20cm was an impossible goal, but Andrew Russell was the first person beat it, with a score of 673 on 15 March 2020 in the Men’s Compound division.

Congratulations Andrew and we hope to see more people getting this ribbon!
