UPDATE:
First of all I want to thank everyone for coming together and entering this tournament – we have a record level of entries – over 70 archers! However, circumstances being what they are, we have opted to postpone this tournament. Auckland Archery Club are coming back to us on a date – dependent on if we drop alert levels in the next few days.
The plan is to remain exactly the same for the new date, if lockdown has lifted – obviously we will continue to be in touch throughout the coming weeks.
All clubs are invited to send juniors to this fun tournament. Make up a team of four: any age group, ability, and bow type.
We have two events: target and field. All competitors will be split into two groups to tackle the field and target at different times. All individual results will be tallied and the team with the highest points wins!
Schedule of the day:
9am Briefing for teams
9.30am First practice end
11.30am Lunch and fun shoot
12.30pm Second round starts
3.30pm Final scores tallied and prizegiving!
Divisions:
U20 Recurve
U14 Recurve
U20 Barebow
U14 Barebow
U20 Compound
U14 Compound
Target distances:
– U20: 40m, 30m
– U14: 25m, 18m
Field distances
– U20: 35m max
– U14: 25m max
Each team entered will need:
– A name
– A Flag or banner
– A team captain
– A team uniform
Prizes are given for the top three teams, best flag, best uniform and other spot prizes are given on the day!
